John 9:1-3 – The Man Born blind
Verse 1- Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man that was blind from birth.
Verse 2 – And His disciples asked Him, saying Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents that he should be born blind.
Verse 3 – Jesus answered, neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in Him.
The revelation I got from this was that we often and unfortunately lose heart when we are standing in prayer with someone about something and there seems to be a delay in the prayer being answered.
Sometimes our posture changes to start asking questions of is there sin present or lack of faith why we are not getting an answer to prayer. Jesus said it was neither the sins of the parents or the son. This young man was born so that the glory of God should be one day revealed through him. In eternity is was determined that Jesus will come down this road one day and meet him there and his blindness and receiving of sight will testify of the glory of God.
I pray that we can adopt that posture of love and faith and not look for faults in people’s lives but rather stand with them and know God is willing and able to turn our circumstances and situations around ALL FOR HIS GLORY.
Reflection: Maybe all that you are going through is not just about you but that one day the glory of God may be revealed in and through your life and that you should save many through your testimony.
